About us

The Association for Furniture Studies is a private non-profit organisation founded in 2004. The Association offers research, training and conservation for antique and contemporary furniture and its activity is developed with several values such as sustainability, social responsibility, gender equality, culture of peace and professionalism..

We are Spain’s leading centre on furniture studies, and our goals are:

    • To increase social awareness of the heritage value of furniture
    • To encourage interest in furniture and promote it
    • To offer continuous training for professionals in the sector
    • To boost knowledge of new technologies to conserve and restore furniture
    • To encourage the exchange of knowledge between professionals
