\u2018El teu bagul, la nostra hist\u00f2ria\u2019 es un proyecto digital participativo que tiene el objetivo de inventariar y catalogar los ejemplares de ba\u00fales, arcas y cofres existentes en las colecciones p\u00fablicas y privadas en Catalu\u00f1a.<\/span><\/p>

\u2018La caixa \u00e9s un moble que s\u2019ha utilitzat a les cases des de fa segles, mantenint quasi invariable la seva estructura, tot i que en canvia la decoraci\u00f3 i les dimensions segons el seu \u00fas i la cronologia. Servien per contenir des de l\u2019aixovar femen\u00ed i la roba de la llar, fins a emmagatzemar sal, gra, eines o altres estris, aix\u00ed com documentaci\u00f3 o joies, i tamb\u00e9 s\u2019han utilitzat com a seient i llit.\u2019<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Arca. Caja grande, en general rectangular y con cubierta plana o de tejadillo. Esta \u00faltima soluci\u00f3n es corriente hasta fines de la Edad Media, sobre todo para las de viaje, ya que el agua de lluvia resbala mejor por su superf\u00edcie.  Tradicionalmente se considera tambi\u00e9n esta forma como alusi\u00f3n simb\u00f3lica a la casa. <\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

\u2018El cofre es va utilitzar des de l\u2019edat mitjana com a contenidor d\u2019objectes valuosos i la seva estructura poc va canviar fins ben entrat el segle XVIII, tot i que els materials s\u00f3n menys luxosos i m\u00e9s utilitaris\u2026 La tapa bombada \u00e9s l\u2019element m\u00e9s caracter\u00edstic i servia per elimina la pluja, per\u00f2 tamb\u00e9 hi ha cofres de tomba o d\u2019esquenada, amb la tapa a dos vessants.\u2019<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

M\u00e1s tarde, el t\u00e9rmino se extendi\u00f3 a todos los cofres para equipajes, fuera cual fuera su tama\u00f1o. Est\u00e1n forrados de materiales hidr\u00f3fugos (cuero, tela encerada, cinc) en el exterior o en el interior.
